It's almost April???

I looked at a calendar the other day and realized it was almost April and decided I should update the blog. It's been a busy month. We are so happy to have Newman home from Fort Bragg safe and sound. For those of you wondering, two of his men are still in the hospital, but they are recovering steadily. Jack was so happy to see his daddy when he got home. He was all smiles:)

We also welcomed home our good friend Adam who has been in Afghanistan. We all went to the homecoming and were so happy to see him and Aurora together again. Their baby, John, should be here soon. Jack can't wait to play with him!

We are still waiting on our house to sell. We have had some traffic, but no offers yet. We're praying for a quick sale since we are moving down to SC in May. Fingers crossed!!

That's the family update, so now on to Jack... He is still such a good baby! He is so happy and easy going. He loves eating table food like grits, bread and his new favorite is yogurt. He still only has two teeth, but he sure does know how to work them! He is all over the place and in to everything. He had his 9 month check up a couple of weeks ago and he was 23.6 pounds. He's healthy and perfect, to his mommy and daddy at least! Here are a few of our favorite pictures from this month.

Hanging out with daddy waiting for Adam to get home!

Jack loves playing with the fireplace. I put the table in front of him to deter him, but he just found it even more appealing! He loved playing under the table too!
Not only are the cribs Pa makes beautiful, they're also tasty!

Hanging out with my pal Arty

Jack really likes puffs. He bee lines for them whenever he sees his snack cup or the puffs container. One day it was on the couch. I went to the kitchen and came back a minute later and he had climbed up to get them. He then shook them out and sat down and ate them all. The picture below is another puffs adventure.

Sitting outside watching dad wash the cars.

Such a cutie!

Jack tries out to be the "Voice of the GSU Eagles"

Jack has had an exciting few weeks. He made his first trip to Beaufort and Statesboro to see his cousin and Aunt & Uncle. He got to see his first baseball game and got to help Uncle Ryan call the game. Enjoy the pictures.

Sorry... It's been a while!

Sorry it's been a while since our last post. Things are great. Jack is growing and changing every day. Hard to believe that he turned months old yesterday. He's got his two front teeth. He loves to use them to chew puffs, but he doesn't quite understand why he can't chew on mommy and daddy's fingers anymore. He also loves crawling, but he can only go backwards so far. He's really good at that. He wants to go forward so bad, but he just can quite get it yet. He'll get there though... we're not in a rush. Not ready to fully baby-proof yet! Some of his favorite things to do now are bouncing up and down (we call it dancing), shaking his head no, playing his piano (with his hands and his head) and flipping his daddy's lips so he'll make noise. He's a joy and we love every minute of parenthood!

Jack's First Christmas

Jack had a wonderful first Christmas! Jack not only celebrated his first Christmas, he also made his first trip to Georgia, his first trip to Charlie Joseph's and was baptized all in the same week. While we were at home Jack got to meet a lot of family including all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, a great great aunt and his great grandparents. It was such a special trip for us all. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from Christmas. The baptism pictures will follow.

Christmas Party Plus Three

My three best friends and I had our Christmas party last night before things start to get too crazy. Our boys exchanged presents and we all indulged in Christmas treats:) It's always fun to get together with them but this time was especially fun because our little guys had matching pjs! It was quite the task getting a five month old, a 15 month old and a 16 month old in the same shot, but some of our attempts are below:)

Jack loves hanging out with Ayden and Parker! He can't wait until he's big enough to play with them. For now he just sits back and watches their every move.

Four very tired ladies after the photo shoot!
(They're also my support team when Newman's gone and when he's here for that matter.)
