Jack had a wonderful first Christmas! Jack not only celebrated his first Christmas, he also made his first trip to Georgia, his first trip to Charlie Joseph's and was baptized all in the same week. While we were at home Jack got to meet a lot of family including all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, a great great aunt and his great grandparents. It was such a special trip for us all. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from Christmas. The baptism pictures will follow.
My three best friends and I had our Christmas party last night before things start to get too crazy. Our boys exchanged presents and we all indulged in Christmas treats:) It's always fun to get together with them but this time was especially fun because our little guys had matching pjs! It was quite the task getting a five month old, a 15 month old and a 16 month old in the same shot, but some of our attempts are below:)
Jack loves hanging out with Ayden and Parker! He can't wait until he's big enough to play with them. For now he just sits back and watches their every move.
Four very tired ladies after the photo shoot! (They're also my support team when Newman's gone and when he's here for that matter.)
It was a different Thanksgiving this year, but it was a good one. Heather's husband is gone as well, so Jack, Aurora and I went to her house for Thanksgiving lunch. We all brought our favorites and had quite the spread. Of course we ate too much, but it was a wonderful day wrapped up with a nice walk and pumpkin pie for dinner! We really missed Newman and the rest of our family, but it was a nice day with delicious food and wonderful friends!
He's getting so big and he's so fun! Some of his favorite things to do are play peek-a-boo, bounce in his jump-a-roo, and talk to his stuffed monkey. We went to the doctor last week for a cough and cold so we got a current weight and our little monkey is 17 pounds! He's feeling better with the help of an antibiotic. When I give him his medicine he smacks his lips and looks up for more:). He loves eating from a spoon and sitting in his high chair for dinner. I've started making his food and his favorite so far is green beans. We're loving spending extra time together and can't wait for Christmas so we can spend more time with daddy and the rest of the family!
Today is the 235 th birthday of the Marine Corps, so Jack had a photo shoot this morning so he could send his daddy a birthday picture. He especially loved it when I put Newman's cover on him. Anyway, Happy Birthday to Marines everywhere and thank you for what you do!
